HOW TO GIVE YOUR NEW KITCHEN THE 'EDGE'!

1. Design and layout
You should think about ..
  • how you plan to use your kitchen
  • your family make-up
  • what types of meals you cook
  • your personal likes and dislikes
  • your overall choice of look for your kitchen

2. Work triangle
Your design should incorporate the sink/oven-cooktop/refrigerator triangle, which will make your kitchen highly functional and user friendly
3. Bench space
Maximization and appropriate placement of bench tops is a must for a kitchen to work successfully.  Thought should be put into where space is needed for setting down, preparing and serving.
4. Storage solutions
A great kitchen must use all space for effective storage.  Nowadays there are a wide variety of choices to solve storage problems.  These range from the traditional pantry, to wine racks, spice drawers, tea-towel holders, in-cupboard bins, and specific storage systems made by companies such as Hafele, Hettich and Blum that have really revolutionized kitchen organization.
